New Care Associates’ mission is to serve families of the mentally disabled youth by utilizing systems to help keep the youth safely and actively involved within their community. We accomplish this by teaching them sustainable self-sufficiency techniques along with mentoring to improve self-esteem and social development.
We are an ISS (Individual Support Services) provider of mental health services to children ages 5-20 and families with mental health issues. By mental health, we are referring to behavioral: Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Obsessive–Compulsive Personality Disorder (OCDD), and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) to name a few.
We utilize the Wraparound System, which focuses on creating a model to support these families. The Wraparound System is an evidence-based program which focuses on bringing children and families together to realize their dreams and ensure that children and youth grow up in their own homes and communities. With help from one or more facilitators, people from the family unit’s life (such as aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.) work together to coordinate their activities and blend perspectives of the family’s situation.
